Tuesday Night Picks

Do you like sports? I assume we all do. Do you like making money? Ditto. I have gone through all of the MLB, NHL & even NBA games tonight to find winners. I'm happy to report I found some. There are varying levels of certainty to these picks, so please take some of them with a grain of salt.

Homer Picks

Cubs -1 (+106)

Blackhawks ML (+170)

I put money on the Cubs pretty much every night, and with Yu on the bump, tonight is no different. The Blackhawks pick though, I truly believe this team has so much fight in them, that they will force a game 6 against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Trail Blazers ML (+225)

The Lakers are undoubtedly the best team in the Western Conference, I know that. This is pretty much all recency bias, but the Damian Lillard is playing possessed the past week, and I can't in good faith bet against him. Plus, I believe the Trail Blazers will take at least 1 game in this series, why not game 1?

Mariners ML (+225)

The Mariners have their best pitcher going, who happens to be left handed, against a left handed heavy lineup for the Dodgers. At those odds, I'll take it!

Islanders -1 (+190)

The Islanders are 1 game away from sweeping the Washington Capitals. I made a lot of money on the Capitals in 2018 when they won the Stanley Cup, so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for them, but this isn't 2018 and I think the Islanders move on tonight.

Real Winners

Marlins ML (+118)

The Mets starter got scratched and they have to start Corey Oswalt, who is rocking an ERA north of 11.

Tigers ML (+155)

The Tigers are starting their top prospect vs the White Sox. The hitters have very little tape on Tarik Skubal, since he is making is first big league start, so it will take a couple times through the lineup to get a read on the young lefthander

Yankees ML (+108)

Masahiro Tanaka is making his second start after suffering a concussion back in early July. He looked good in his first start back, and I think he continues to grow from there.

Orioles/Blue Jays - Over 9.5 (-112)

The starters in this game have a combined ERA well over 12 and the 2 teams average over 9 runs per game combined.

Let's make some money tonight.
