Yesterday brought the world the saddest news on record, and I have the unfortunate job of passing along to everyone. No, I'm not talking about any updates in Covid-19 or the shelter-in-place mess that most states find themselves in. I am, of course, referring to the news that Chicago Bears legend Jay Cutler and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kristin Cavalleri, have filed for divorce.
Reading a sentence like that makes one start to question things. Does love exist? Is anything real? If these two attractive celebrities can't make it, what chance do I have? There are no dumb questions when it comes this topic. I wish I had answers to them. I wish anyone had answers to them. With some luck, we might get some answers in time.
The saddest part of this, from my perspective, is that Kristin's reality show Very Cavalleri, on E!, has just lost the only reason to watch that show. Full disclosure, I'm not a big reality TV guy, and have only watched one episode in full. However, I do love the clips that come out featuring Cutler. He brings a certain electricity to the screen that probably surprised a lot of people. Of course, I am not one of those people as I am, and always will be, a HUGE Cutler fan.
So, with all that said, the people of the internet are calling for Cutler to be featured on the next season of ABC's The Bachelor. The people are clamoring for it, and I must say, I agree! As I mentioned before, I am not a big reality TV guy, but could you imagine Cutler as The Bachelor? That show would write itself. I mean, not that it's scripted or anything... But seriously, I would be glued to the TV every Sunday (or whatever day The Bachelor is on). So, ABC, the ball is in your court. I expect you to put every resource toward making this happen. You're going to have to be aggressive here, because as we all know, Jay does not give a fuck.
