33.3 WREC Episode 2: Some Girls & Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

In Episode 2 of 33.3 WREC, Joe and I continued our trend with him recommending a classic album from the 20th century and choosing some real country music for us to breakdown. The episode kicks off with Joe educating me on The Rolling Stones' 1978 album, Some Girls, and then moving into Sturgill Simpson's 2014 album, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music.

After Joe mentioned last week that he loves the likes of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, I felt it was a great opportunity to slide Sturgill into the mix considering he's constantly compared to Waylon, but let's not get it twisted, he's not the next Waylon Jennings, he's the first Sturgill Simpson.

The goal is to broaden our horizons so if you have any albums you'd like to see us breakdown, let us know on Twitter at @The1nnKeeper_ and @MenkeJoe.
